In this weeklong workshop, learn how to create your own television commercials, movie trailers, and music videos. You’ll also learn about cool digital cameras, editing, working with music, sound effects, and how to master your program to DVD. Completed films will be premiered at the end of the week.

Kids Animation
(Ages 12 on up)

Kids, this is your chance to learn animation. Throughout the week you will have fun being in and making animated TV projects. Your completed animations will appear on BITV

Learn the exciting world of "Live" television production through hands on participation. You will learn how to set up and record a live televsion show in the BITV Studio. We'll show you how to switch multiple cameras, set up microphones and add graphics to your production. Ages 16 and up.

YOU'RE ON THE AIR!

Kids, this is your chance to be part of a news team and air your work on your local TV station. This weeklong class offers you a chance to work as a real news reporter. You will learn anchoring, directing, on-camera interviews, weather reports and covering local events. This means hands-on experience with real production gear. At the end of the week, your broadcasting team will perform a live news broadcast on BITV's Channel 12. Taught by BITV News Director

Journalism

Do you want to tell a TV news story with words, video and sounds? Then, BITV's Journalism Class is for you! You'll get hands-on-experience, learn how to shoot, write and edit a news story. Topics include researching a story, interviewing techniques, on-camera delivery, writing into a sound byte, and journalistic ethics. You will even put together your own story that could air on BNews. BITV's Journalism Class will help you develop your Journalistic skills and get a taste of what being a reporter might be like.
